S.L.R Standing Seam
S.L.R Metal Roofing Details:
We install SLR standing seam metal roofing systems for residential homes and commercial projects in Sanilac, St. Clair, Lapeer, Macomb, Huron, and Oakland Counties.
SLR standing seam panels are available in 29, 26 & 24 gauge. The minimum recommended slope for any Vertical Seam roofing panel is 3:12.
SLR standing seam roofing is designed to be utilized over solid substrate, but can easily be used over an open structural
framing. To avoid panel
distortion, a properly aligned and uniform substructure is needed to minimize "oil canning".
The recommended substrate is 9/16" plywood with a "Perma Felt" type underlayment or 30 pound felt moisture barrier.
Clip-Loc Standing Seam panels are available in a 12" & 16" width with a 1 3/4" rib height.
Maximum recommended panel length is 45'-0".
Longer panels require additional consideration in packaging, shipping, and erection.
Screw Slot System:
S.L.R. standing seam roofing panels use a screw slot retention type system. These screw slots allow expansion and contraction of the roofing panels to reduce oil canning. Unlike Clip-Lok systems which have a unlimited expansion range, S.L.R. panels have about a 20' max panel length.
